Beginning on July 7th, units will begin to arrive for our next large training event eXportable Combat Training Center (XCTC 2018) that will take place most of the month of July. As most of you may know, XCTC brings a lot of support staff with it, meaning a lot of the folks who are here supporting the exercise may be living/housed and eating out on the economy. So with that said, local businesses may see an increase of customers.
Also, this week (June 25-29), there will be a National Short Wing Piper Club convention hosted here in Grayling. Residents may hear or see an increase of personally owned aircrafts in and around the Grayling Army Airfield. There may also be 24-28 small Piper airplanes parked down at the civilian terminal of the airfield.
I will do my best to keep everyone informed if anything changes. If you are out near any of our training areas or ranges and see something that needs our attention, please contact me. Thank you very much and have a wonderful week!!
