Lake Margrethe Property Owner's Association

Incorporated in 1968 by a small group of concerned lake residents, the Lake Margrethe Property Owner's Association, or LMPOA, is an environmental organization whose intent is to protect the natural resources of Lake Margrethe and the surrounding watershed within Crawford County.  LMPOA is made up of approximately 300 member families and neighbors who care deeply about Lake Margrethe.

The primary objectives of LMPOA include:

• Maintaining a close relationship with the community
  
• Protecting the beauty and vitality of the lake and its environment
• Enhancing natural resources and recreational opportunities
  
• Communicating with local, state, and federal agencies that may impact the fish, wildlife, or area property owners

Membership

Membership is open to all persons owning property between the lake shore and surrounding state land.  Associate memberships are available to former property owners or to those who care deeply about Lake Margrethe.

Join to help protect one of Michigan's recreational jewels!  An involved association provides the best opportunity to command the attention of local and state officials.  Join to stay informed through membership meetings, learn about lake sustainability, and participate in fun association sponsored events.

Board of Directors

The board is made up of nine association members who volunteer their energy and skills to advance the objectives of the association.  Directors serve staggered three-year terms and are elected at the Annual Meeting in July.  The board selects its officers, who serve one-year terms.  Names and contact information for the current board members can be found on the contact page of this website.
