I'm hesitant to rake out low growing weeds in a shallow swim area without knowing if there is Eurasian milfoil present. I'm not sure I can accurately identify it and wondered if there is anyone who could pay us a visit to check it out. Since I've read that any small pieces will root, I don't want to aggravate the problem! We live on West Bay, 9637 Swiftwater Rd, off Eagle Point.

Hi Jan, I don't think it's a problem to rake out weeds in a shallow swim area, even if there is milfoil. Just be sure you have netting around the area to capture "floaters" and have enough people on the periphery to collect and compost the weeds. A couple volleyball/ badminton nets should work well.
